"Our 2014 John Bree Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is bursting with opulent flavors of red raspberry and ripe cherry, baking spice and iron rich earth. Hints of floral and pencil lead add dimension to the wine’s profile while refined tannins liven the palate. Vibrant acidity supports the fruit, making it enjoyable while young. Careful aging will allow hidden flavors to evolve over time"
"The growing season of 2014 was the third in a string of stunning vintages in the Sierra Foothills. Dry, mild temperatures brought on early budbreak and harvest, while the persistent drought helped produce small berries with concentrated flavors and elegant tannins. The overall length of the growing season was normal, allowing for full ripening and balanced acidity. "
"Picked during the cool of the night, we hand sorted and destemmed the fruit into 1 ton fermentation bins. With an extended cold soak we extracted optimal fruit and earth characteristics. fermented for 26 days at temperatures at or below 82 degrees Fahrenheit. aged in 100% new french oak for 26 months"
Against so many other notable wines, our 2014 Amador Cabernet Sauvignon received the Best in Class Award at the 2017 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition
